Rising Hope – Recipes & Stories from Luminary Bakery – Interview with Rachel Stonehouse & Kaila H. Johnson

Since 2014 Luminary Bakery has offered courses, work experience and paid employment within their cafes in London, empowering women to build their careers. Now the organisation has published its first cookery book – Rising Hope. A collection of over 70 delicious recipes each accompanied with heartwarming, joyful and inspiring story. Our co-founder Mecca Ibrahim caught up with co-authors Rachel Stonehouse and Kaila H. Johnson to discover more about the book.

We are delighted to see so much support & greater value around the UK’s food supply and the farmers, growers, food producers and people who fish in our seas. Before coronavirus, made us think even more about traditional food supply chains, we had a fascinating with discussion with Loren Hiller Commercial Officer at the Marine Stewardship Council about women in the seafood & fishing industry. She gave her personal views about why the industry is male dominated.
